ATS 019 - 7 DAYS (6 Nights) MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING - MARANGU ROUTE

Day 1 - Mombasa/Moshi

You will drive from Mombasa and enter Tanzania through the Taveta border entry point and then to Moshi (Tanzania) for lunch after immigration formalities. Spend the afternoon in organizing climbing gears and acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at Buffalo hotel.

Day 2 - Mandara Hut

After you've had your breakfast, drive 45km to Marangu gate, an altitude of 1860m. Walk 9 km to Mandara Hut 2,744m (9000ft) through a dense semi-tropical rain forest, for your first overnight. Meals and overnight at Mandara Hut.

Day 3 - Horombo Hut

Start early morning 4-5 hrs treck up to health and moonland to arrive at Horombo. The landscape becomes more ragged and rocky but superb with both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks in view. You spend the night at Horombo Hut,an altitude of 3,761m (12,335ft).

Day 4 - Kibo Hut

Walk a 13 km, 6 hrs. stretch to Kibo Hut,4,732m (15,520ft) above sea level. Spectacular mountain vegetation like giant cactus, groundsel and lobelia appears. Meals and overnight at the hut.

Day 5 - Gilman Point / Uhuru Peak

The final attempt to the summit is made in the early hours of the morning at 02:00 am. It takes about 5 hours to climb the steepest and most difficult part of the route to Gilman Point 5681(18,630ft). From Gilman it takes 2 hours to Uhuru Peak 5,896m (19,630ft), the Highest point in Africa. Descend to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - Moshi

After breakfast, walk down to Marangu gate where you will be met and transfared to Moshi town hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Moshi/ Mombasa

After breakfast, you will be transfared to Taveta border town entry point where you will connect your transport back to Mombasa.

Day 12 -Hotel /Airport

You'll be transferred to the Airport for your departure flight.

Daily departure, minimum 2 persons.

ATS 020- 5 DAYS (4 Nights) MOUNT KENYA CLIMBING - SIRIMON ROUTE

Day 1 - Nairobi - Nanyuki

Drive off from Nairobi accompanied by our mountain guide arriving Nanyuki in time for lunch. Spend the remaining part of the day acclimatizing due to sudden change of altitude. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Nanyuki.

Day 2 - Nanyuki - Old Moses

After breakfast you will be transfered from your Nanyuki hotel to Sirimon gate where you will start the climbing .Walk 9 km through the rain forest for (5 hours ) to the first mountain hut. Old Moses (3,500m) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Old Moses - Shipton Hut

After breakfast at Old Moses continue climbing through Makinders Valley to the second hut. Shipton Hut (4,200m).

Day 4 - Shipton Hut - Old Moses

Climb to Point Lenana 4985m (17,058ft) Early in the morning. Mount Kilimanjaro could be seen in the south, Mount Elgon to the West and Indian Ocean to the East on a clear morning. We descend to Shipton Camp.
